This week I was fortunate enough to chat with Dr Lilly Brown, the current CEO of Magabala Books, Australia’s leading Indigenous publisher. Aboriginal owned and led, Magabala Books celebrate and nurture the talent and diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voices. And do a stellar job of it.
I was particularly interested to speak to Lilly about getting more contemporary First Nations texts into our classrooms, and how we can empower educators to feel confident teaching these books.
