Intro: I Read a Lot (so you don't have to)

Hello! Welcome to this newsletter, where I’ll be covering new and interesting books for young readers, as well as topics and trends in the children’s literature industry. My hope is that this will be especially helpful to those people working in schools who don’t have enough time to read widely, and need some assistance finding great books for students. But, it’ll also be a handy resource for anyone interested in children’s literature, including parents.

My name is Karys McEwen and I’m based in Melbourne, Australia. Here is a quick run-down of why I think (I hope) I am qualified to write this:

I am the current vice president (and immediate past president) of the Victorian branch of the Children’s Book Council of Australia (CBCA).
